The 6th Annual N. Bennington Penguin Plunge was an enormous success. A brave group of 95 people participated in the Penguin Plunge to raise over $15,330 for the 850+ athletes of Special Olympics Vermont. Donations are still pouring in from our participants! This was our most successful North Bennington Penguin Plunge EVER!

We hope you enjoyed your Penguin Plunge on Sat., January 13th. With temperatures hovering near 6 degrees for much of the morning, it was a chilly dip into Lake Paran! At 11:00 a.m., when our first group took their running leap into the water, the water was 34 degrees and the feel like temperature was -4 degrees!

We thank you for your generosity and support of our athletes. All of your donations directly benefit the athletes of Special Olympics Vermont. Athletes are not charged to participate in organization sponsored athletic events and competitions. Donations help fund travel to local, state, national and international competitions throughout the year. Additionally, funds help local programs purchase uniforms, pay training facility fees and order training equipment, just to name a few.

OUR NEW INCENTIVE SYSTEM IS ONLINE!

Special Olympics Vermont is committed to reducing our impact on the environment. This year, we've switched to an online incentive system to reduce our waste; only those incentives which are needed will be ordered. An online incentive system also means we can offer our plungers a wider range of options including a variety of colors for each item and men's and women's sizing.

Did you raise over $500?

At registration, you should have recieved a unique code corresponding to the incentive level you reached at the time of the Penguin Plunge.

1. Take this code home with you and access the Online Incentive Store
2. Select appropriate incentive level. You will be directed to a page listing all the incentive items you are eligible to receive based on your incentive level.
3. Make your selections - items, sizing and colors.
4. At checkout, you will be asked to enter your code and your shipping address.
5. All items will be shipped by mid-March.

You will also be given the option to "donate the cost" of each item back to Special Olympics Vermont.
