Thank you for your support of Special Olypmics Vermont and the 2010 Penguin Plunge.  This event is our largest annual fundraiser.  In 2009, we saw growing enthusiasm for our Young Athletes program, continued growth in our school Unified Sports programs and over 10% increase in athlete participation.  With your generous contributions and support, we are able to offer training and competition for over 850 athletes, many of whom trained and competed in several sports.

Through the 2010 Penguin Plunges in N. Bennington, Burlington and Newport approximately 1,200 people participated to raise over $360,000... and donations are still pouring in!  Your donations enable us to continue offering a high level of sports training and competition to the athletse we serve througout the state.  A great example of your $$ at work are the upcoming Special Olympics Vermont Winter Games in Woodstock, VT from March 12th-14th.  Join us on Friday for School Unified Snowshoe or on Saturday and Sunday for alpine & nordic ski racing, snowboard events and snowsheing!  More information available here.
