June 4th - 6th, 2010

Special Olympics Vermont will host the Annual Summer Games at University of Vermont June 4-6. Athletes from every county in Vermont will compete in the 2010 Summer Games.  One hundred coaches and more than 400 volunteers provided support throughout the entire weekend to ensure a successful event.

The games included Unified Sports® teams which comprise of individuals with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team.

Friday June 4th 
9:00 – 9:15am School Based Opening Ceremony
9:30 – 1200pm Morning Competition
12:00 – 1:00pm Lunch (credentialed individuals only)
1:00 -  4:30pm Afternoon Competition/Awards
7:30 – 8:30pm Opening Ceremony  - Turf field

Saturday June 5th  
10:00 – 4:00pm Olympic Town / Healthy Athlete /Merchandise Sales
9:15 – 12:00  Competition – Athletics, Bocce and Softball
9:15 – 1:30  Competition - Aquatics
12:00 – 1:00  Lunch (credentialed individuals only)
1:00 – 4:30pm Competition Resumes
5:30 – 6:30 pm Dinner (credentialed individuals only)
7:00 – 9:00 pm Dance (Theme: TBD)– Olympic Town – Big tent 

Sunday June 6th  
9:00 – 12:00 pm Competition
10:00 – 2:30 pm  Olympic Town – Merchandise sales – Big tent
12:00 – 1:00pm Lunch (credentialed individuals only) / Closing Remarks
